Dr. Alexandria (Alex) Balthrop, PT, DPT, PRPC
I discovered pelvic floor physical therapy through my own postpartum journey, and it quickly became clear that this was more than just a specialty—it was my calling. While I’ve practiced in a variety of physical therapy settings since earning my Doctor of Physical Therapy from Bellarmine University in 2015, I began specializing in pelvic health in 2019 and haven’t looked back.
I completed my pelvic floor training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and have pursued additional certifications in manual therapy and dry needling. Most recently, I earned my Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) through Herman & Wallace, a credential that reflects my dedication to providing the highest standard of care in pelvic health.
I’m passionate about helping clients feel safe, seen, and empowered in their healing process. Whether working with someone through pregnancy, postpartum, or any stage of life, I strive to create a warm and supportive environment where meaningful progress can happen.
My husband and I have moved around a bit, but we’ve called Murfreesboro home since 2019. It’s where we started our family, and I’m now a proud boy mom of two. When I’m not running around with them, I enjoy running as a sport, reading, watching football, and spending time with friends.
Alex sees in-home patients in Murfreesboro and the surrounding areas and at her office in Murfreesboro inside Southern Mama’s Chiropractic.
