Meet Dr. Morgan Jacobs PT, DPT
Hi! My name is Morgan Jacobs, I am a pelvic floor physical therapist. During my last year of physical therapy school, I felt called to pelvic health physical therapy, specifically women’s health. I was very unsure of this step, but through divine intervention I received an unexpected clinical placement in pelvic health. During that rotation, I realized the widespread need for pelvic floor therapy in womens’ healthcare and felt called to pursue it. Since then my passion for pelvic floor therapy has grown and I truly love what I do.
I grew up in Hendersonville, Tennessee and still reside there with my husband and dog! I went to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (GO MOCS!) for my undergraduate degree graduating with a Bachelor’s of Exercise Science in 2018. I then went on to physical therapy school and received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Belmont University in 2021.
I have completed continuing education through the American Physical Therapy Association through a two-year process of studying, learning, and presenting cases to receive my Certificate of Achievement in Obstetric Physical Therapy and Pelvic Health Physical Therapy (CAPP-OB CAPP-Pelvic) in the beginning of 2024. In addition to pelvic health training, I am certified in dry needling.
I am passionate about women’s healthcare and want to help raise the standard for our healthcare system. Pelvic health physical therapy should be a norm for women’s healthcare. Not only should it be provided during postpartum care, but it should be a preventative treatment that occurs as a standard of care during adulthood and pregnancy. An ongoing goal of mine is to provide education of pelvic health to not only patients but providers. Education plays a key role in my treatment, articulating how symptoms are correlated to changes in the body. Knowledge is power so understanding what is going on with your body is the first step to making lasting changes. I want patients to feel empowered and play an active role in their recovery. Playing a role in helping women feel like their best selves is a joy and a privilege.
My hobbies include spending time with friends and family, working out, embroidery, and thrifting. I am excited to meet you and work together in your journey towards healing and recovery.
Morgan sees in-home patients in Sumner County and the surrounding areas.
